It's compatible with WOTC so it will work with LWOTC. The mod that I am suggesting here that fixes all of this is called EU aim rolls. Even when the target can dodge, the dodge stat is mostly ignored in most situations in the base game.
This means with a brief explanation, that if you are in a situation where you have a higher chance to crit than to hit an advent trooper for example, it will always crit when it hits so long as the target can't dodge. So the base game basically calculates the hit, crit and dodge chance all at the same time and share 1 single roll. I will talk about that mod in a second but to understand the issue entirely, I will need to talk about how vanilla xcom 2's hit, crit and dodge rolls works. There is actually a mod out there that I have tested with LWOTC that really works really well and fixes the said issue. The vanilla game does not accurately calculate crit and dodge correctly.
This is actually a problem with the base game of XCOM 2 itself. But I do feel it's necessary to have my say on this issue. This is going to be a long post from me on this topic and it's going to take quite a bit of explaining.
